Testing the limits of my understanding

Went to see a play last night - small independent theatre that wasn't too overloaded with dialogue, but still it was an effort to understand - although the theatre scene here is great - lots of stuff going on - cool small spaces with little bars and stuff, and really cheap too (even for the locals) - makes the ever increasing prices back home seem ridiculous.
