The value of Tasmania

One of the bad things about Havana is the number (and persistence of) touts, especially in the old town, who want to sell cigars, or possibly themselves. Although, in truth, it wasn´t nearly as bad as I had been led to believe. But since the most popular opener is "Where you from?" I quickly learned that "Tasmania" was a good response, followed by an insistence in broken Spanish or English that I speak only Tasmanian. A lot of them complimented me on my country all the same, and one surmised that it must be near Germany.
